We are located in Canyon Dam, CA. At the intersection of Highway 89 and Highway 147. We are 1 Mile from the Canyon Dam Boat Launch at Lake Almanor. We are a short 15 minute drive to Chester.

Lake Almanor being one of the largest man-made lakes in California has great year round fishing. Every year approximately 50,000 Eagle Lake Trout are raised in cages near Hamilton Branch.

With thousands of miles of streams and hundreds of lakes in the Lassen National Forest we love to JUST FISH. Rainbow Trout are the predominate fish. However, trophy German Brown’s, Mackinaw, King Salmon, Kokanee, Eagle Lake Trout and Large and Small mouth Bass are found in our major lakes.

Fly-Fishing is a sought after sport in the Lake Almanor area. We have fly fishing guides that will take you to the best fly-fishing spots around.

Our Guide, Allen Shephard along with other proven Lake Almanor area Guides will take you on a fishing adventure. We will fish Lake Almanor, Antelope Lake, Bucks Lake, Davis Lake and Eagle Lake, also the Feather River and Deer Creek. Our Guides can also arrange special requests and make recommendations.

In June and July, there is a hatch called hexaginia (a giant mayfly). You will find fish jumping to get on your line just before dark. There is a great habitat at Geritol Cove for float tubers and bank fishermen at Canyon Dam. Fall and winter fishing at Lake Almanor can be fantastic. With German Browns weighing in at 4 pounds and more.

Our Hunting Guides offer a variety of challenges. Deer and Duck or Geese are most popular. We also have some tremendous Mountain QUAIL hunting. The area is among the top 5 in the State of California for annual Bear hunts.
